Some Important points for SSC Descriptive Paper:-
  • It is to be informed on here that four boxes in a single row will be provided in the answer sheet. 
Every single word in each box will be counted either it’s “A”, “The” or else. So don’t be oblivion regarding the word limits however +/- 30% word limits can be crossed.

  • Try to be clear in your words and let the sheet be neat and tidy.
  • Avoid repetition of similar words and escape from writing false information based on a particular scheme or scenario. 

  • You just have to be precise in your writing.
  • To have a better idea of writing and fluency, develop a habit of reading newspapers. Doing so you will sharpen your ability to make the right usage of words and grammatical structures.

In Descriptive Paper,  the minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 per cent. And is intended to test elementary language skills in view of re-categorization of the post as Group-C and in view of job requirements.Word Limit:
  • Essay: 200-250 words approximately
  • Letter/Application: 150-200 words approximately
