Modi launches Atma Nirbhar UP Rojgar Abhiyan jobs to 1.25 crore migrant workers – news update
The Atma Nirbhar Uttar Pradesh Rojgar Abhiyan, which was launched by PM Modi virtually, will cover 31 districts of Uttar Pradesh, which has seen more than 30 lakh migrant labourers return home following the lockdown in the country.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath was also present during the virtual launch of the campaign.
It will be undertaken as part of the Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyan that the Prime Minister started on June 20 for 116 districts in six states in the country.
How the Abhiyan will be implemented?
Different departments of the Central & State government have been assigned to provide under the campaign to those who need it. 25 works related to public infrastructure and for improvement of livelihood opportunities have been chosen for
the campaign such as the construction of rural houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, plantation drives, construction of roads under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, plantation drives, construction of roads under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, etc. Work will be provided based on the skill set of the workers.
